How does this work?
You send me the details of your project and I will give you
a quote for all the photography/editing. After we agree on
a price, we'll schedule a shoot date(s), and once you put
down a deposit (50%) I'll come out and shoot.
What do I get for the money?
You get all of the edited photos in a high res
format for use however you see fit. I will assemble your
publication and give you options for purchase (which will
vary depending on quantity). If you want prints/posters I
will be happy to get a quote for you.
I'm in (insert city) and I
want you to shoot. Do you travel?
Yes I do. If it is within driving distance (I
am based in Illinois but also have places to stay in North
Carolina) I will be happy to drive for a determined mileage
rate. If it is further than that, I fly coach. As for
lodging, in an effort to keep everyones cost down I have no
problem crashing in someone's spare bedroom (although I
won't turn down a hotel room).
I'm in a small band, why
should I produce a book?
To put it bluntly, to make money. Do you have
a thousand hardcore fans that will buy anything you put
out? Why not do a special edition of your CD with an
autographed book? Even if you only charge $25, that's
$25,000 brought in (and I assure you that even after my
costs and the printing costs you still have a lot of room
for profit).
